At Lionheart Counseling, we value your privacy and want to ensure a smooth and informed therapeutic journey. Prior to your session, we will email you important documents regarding confidentiality and our policies. We kindly ask that you review and sign these documents beforehand.
During the first few minutes of your initial session, we will personally walk through the key points outlined in the initial paperwork.
After this brief introduction, the rest of the session will be dedicated to you and your needs. This is your opportunity to openly discuss your hopes, expectations, and goals for our services.
At the end of the session, we want to ensure you have a sense of control and autonomy in your therapeutic journey. You will have the following options:
a) Schedule a Follow-up Session: If you feel comfortable and would like to continue working with us, we can schedule a follow-up session to delve deeper into your concerns and begin the therapeutic process.
b) Take Time to Reflect: We understand that therapy is a personal decision, and it's important to feel confident in your choice. We offer you the option to take a week to reflect on your experience and decide whether you wish to schedule a follow-up session or explore other providers who may better align with your needs.
c) Opt Out of Services: If, after careful consideration, you decide that our services are not the right fit for you at this time, you have the freedom to choose not to proceed with further sessions. We respect your decision and want you to feel empowered in taking the path that feels most aligned with your well-being.
We accept insurance as well as private pay. Now accepting Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna, Cigna, as well as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MassachusettS. Please reach out to your insurance provider regarding out of network reimbursements.
At Lionheart Counseling, we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, requiring you to cancel or reschedule your session. We want to ensure that you have the flexibility and convenience you need to prioritize your well-being.
Please take note of our session cancellation and rescheduling policy:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, we kindly request that you contact us via phone or email within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment. By providing this advance notice, we can offer the session slot to another client in need.
If your cancellation or rescheduling request is received before the 48-hour timeframe, there will be no fee incurred. We value your commitment to communication and understand that unforeseen situations can occur.
However, if your request is received after the 48-hour window, a cancellation fee will apply. This fee is equal to the cost of a full session. We hope you understand that this policy allows us to best serve all of our clients while maintaining a sustainable practice.
